This page is not only our home page, it is a demonstration of what can be accomplished visually through CSS–based design. A touch of style goes a long ways on the web!.
Currently, I'm seeking my next "opportunity." I last worked at Swisslog doing GUI, server and embedded development on Automated Materials Handling Systems in hospitals. My passion has been to provide users and organizations with powerful web solutions since the web came into being around 1993. I was in school at the time working on a 2nd Bachelor's degree at U.W. Computer Science & Engineering. My plan was to go on and do Post-Graduate work in Computer Science, but plans changed and I wound up working for a living. When Java was introduced in 1996, I immediately became interested in a language that could be used to write web gadgets.
These days, Java has evolved into a whole platform centered around the J2EE (or JEE for short these days) specification covering many aspects of server centric (multi-tiered applications) computing along with client design and development.
As you've figured out by now, I have worked mostly as a consultant in Web Development over the past 12 or so years, but I am not limited to that technology. Before (and while) doing web development, I've also done many other projects. I started out with Hughes Aircraft Company back in 1985 doing dBase III databases and Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheets. As I said above, I went back to school to get another degree in Computer Science. Following that, I worked for MAJIQ for three years. Then I worked for Microsoft for nearly 2 years before moving to Colorado in 1999.
You've arrived at the Web Home for Scott & Cheryl deBeaubien. Scott is a Software Engineer with over 20 years experience. Cheryl is a Medical Receptionist. Those are our day jobs - our real jobs are working for Jesus advancing His Kingdom here on earth. We used to belong to Living Tower Church in Aurora, Colorado, these days, we've been attending Hope Chapel in Hermosa Beach, California. We recently moved in with my mother to be her care givers during her "Sunset" years. Mom is 83 and she still lives in the house I grew up in! Send me an email.
